Gavin Gibbons is the founder of Exitable, where he leads business growth and scale-up systems for owner-led companies doing £5M–£75M.
He has spent 20 years in tech and AI, building, scaling and advising businesses, and now works as an investor and board advisor to owners of established companies. His focus is a specific, stubborn problem: businesses that work brilliantly, but only because the owner is in the room. Gavin's work at Exitable is about removing that constraint by installing the processes, systems and leadership structures that let a company run, and grow, without its founder at the centre of every decision.
That is the foundation, not the finish line. Once a business runs without its owner, real choices open up, and Exitable helps owners take them: scale the company, step back from day-to-day operations, or sell from a position of strength. Increasingly, this extends to building high-value groups of companies, bringing complementary businesses together to grow through acquisition, maximise shareholder value, and create wider exit routes for their owners, up to and including direct listings.
Alongside Exitable, Gavin is the founder of Next Level Ventures, the group behind Exitable and McGideon, and the co-founder of McGideon, whose RADAR platform helps construction and building services contractors win more work through AI and automation.
His weekly newsletter for owners of established businesses, read by business owners across multiple sectors, covers building companies that run without them, creating and maximising shareholder value, and the exit routes that follow. He also publishes regularly on YouTube and LinkedIn.
